Osmotherley is a class of the Vale of Mowbray Methodist Church and is one of the oldest Methodist Chapels in existence, it stands in a passage between North End and Back Lane. John Wesley preached in and around Osmotherley on several occasions.
Sadly, there are no members now living in the village, but quarterly services are still held to celebrate Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Summer.
The stone table in the centre of the village is where John Wesley stood to preach in Osmotherley.
