The Vale of Mowbray Methodist Church was formed in September 2025 and comprises six Worshipping Communities across the area of the Circuit.
There is one Church Council with Trustees from all of
the worshipping communities (if at all possible).
All Office holders are appointed by Vale of Mowbray
Methodist Church therefore local Worshipping
Communities will no longer have to fill governance roles.
This will allow for many missional opportunities including
the possibility of new small congregations planted in
villages where there are currently no established churches, and exploring opportunities for ” New Places for New People” projects, new patterns of worship and other pioneering opportunities.
The worshipping & missional communities are currently located in Appleton Wiske, Brompton, Northallerton, Romanby, Sowerby & Thornton-le-Beans. Further information about each of these worshipping & missional communities can be found through the drop menu.
